The Story Behind Syncmesh

How a quest for better sim racing gear became a purpose-built brand

It Started in a Home Office, Not a Boardroom

I'm Alex, and when this all began, I wasn't looking to build a company. I just wanted better gear for sim racing. The kind that actually fits the way we race, not borrowed from other sports, but designed specifically for the digital track.

So I set out to design something for myself. Something that felt right on the wheel, looked sharp, and could hold up through those marathon racing sessions that every sim racer knows too well.

Once I had that first prototype in my hands, I realized this was bigger than just solving my own problem. This had the potential to change how sim racers everywhere experienced their time behind the wheel.

Building Something Different

That moment of realization changed everything. Syncmesh was born from the simple belief that sim racers deserved gear made specifically for them, not adapted from other sports, not generic gaming accessories, but purpose-built equipment for the digital track.

From day one, it's been about three things: performance that you can feel, design that looks as good as it functions, and durability that matches the intensity of competitive sim racing. What started as a small team in Herning, Denmark, has grown into something bigger, but those core principles haven't changed.

From Garage Experiments to Global Shipping

The Early Days

Those first months were a blur of late nights, prototypes, and constant iteration. Working out of my home office, I was designing, testing, and refining every detail. The goal wasn't just to make gloves, it was to solve the specific problems that sim racers face during long sessions. Grip that actually worked. Materials that breathed. Durability that matched our passion.

The breakthrough came when I realized that traditional sports gloves were designed for completely different movements and environments. Sim racing needed something entirely new gear built from the ground up for the digital track.

From Prototype to Product

Once I had a design that worked, the real challenge began: turning a garage experiment into something other sim racers could actually buy. This meant finding manufacturers who understood the vision, establishing quality standards, and building the infrastructure to get products to customers worldwide.

Every step was a learning experience. From sourcing materials to packaging design, we approached each decision with the same attention to detail that went into the original glove design.

Scaling Up

As word spread through the sim racing community, demand grew faster than we anticipated. What started as a personal project was becoming a real business. We moved from hand-packing individual orders to establishing proper fulfillment processes, all while maintaining the quality and attention to detail that made the first gloves special.

The challenge wasn't just about volume, it was about preserving the essence of what made Syncmesh different while building systems that could serve sim racers around the world.

Production and fulfillment scaling

Today and Beyond

Today, Syncmesh ships to sim racers in dozens of countries. We've expanded from our flagship gloves to a full line of performance gear, but every product still gets the same obsessive attention to detail that went into that very first prototype. The scale has changed, but the mission hasn't.

What excites me most isn't the growth, it's hearing from sim racers who tell us that our gear has made their racing experience better. That's what this was always about, and that's what will drive us forward.

Why We Keep Going

Even as we've grown, I still lead the design process and stay connected to the community that started it all. We listen to feedback, we iterate constantly, and we build with intention. Every decision comes back to one simple question: does this make the racing experience better?

The sim racing community deserves gear that's made just for them, and that's exactly what we'll keep delivering. One lap, one product, one honest step at a time.

Thanks for being part of this journey.
